Mindset MATTERS

Let me start by saying MINDSET MATTERS!

MINDSET MATTERS! It’s so IMPORTANT!

As I sit and type on my computer for the first time to write a blog post in a while as my babies’ nap, I am fired up! I am feeling renewed, refreshed and restored!

I have said YES to God again to go forth in purpose and be who He created me to be. I have learned to continue to renew my YES to God. He will continue to breathe new life into me.

You may ask, why does mindset matter?

It matters because you cannot achieve, succeed, go-get-it without first believing that you can. Not your neighbor, your friend or your mom but believing that you can! Once you have belief, obstacles become like challenges in a video game you are seeking strategy to overcome. You start to think differently about yourself, your life and your purpose.

Quick story, this morning I had a “how am I going to do this?” moment. My toddler had a runny nose, cough and rising temperature since yesterday. So today I stayed home with her from school along with my infant. In my mind I was like how am I going to keep my daughter from coughing on her brother while wiping her nose, sanitizing my hands, breastfeeding, etc., etc., etc. I was making myself feel overwhelmed just by thinking too much! Can I tell you that my husband said two sentences to me that made my spirit rise up and say I got this! I needed to be reminded that I have the authority to call a thing a thing. I have the authority to set the atmosphere. I have the authority where my children will listen to me. So why was I fretting?! At that moment I forgot about the power that God has given me.

In our most vulnerable moments who do you allow to speak into your life? Or do you remain in silence and suffer? Have you forgotten about the power and authority that was given to you?!

Mindset matters! Believe you can and you will! There may be one area of life you feel stuck, stagnant or in the dark. I dare you to believe that you can!

I can be the mom who manages the household and direct my children in the way they should go without feeling overwhelmed. Motherhood doesn’t always have to be hard. It is joyful, peaceful, and a teacher for me, as I am the student.

Not only should you say you believe but actually believe.

What is one area you need to upgrade your mindset? What step will you take today to start renewing your mind?
